I don't remember Gael even being a particularly tough fight aside from the random lightning in the second phase. Another example of "difficulty doesn't just translate to more fun". Midir could have also stood to have less HP probably, while I'm thinking about that DLC. I don't know why people criticize DS3 so much. I replayed it more than any other FS game.
