Working with some kiln-dried juniper to make a little box, and all four sides of the box had small cracks that I opened enough to get glue in them and clamped up. It’s pretty wood, but taking the local juniper down to ¼ inch (6mm) thickness doesn’t leave much to hold flaws together (and there are plenty of flaws). Better to repair the boards now than after I’ve made them into a box. A rare session of evening #woodworking in order to avoid delays tomorrow morning.
