I learned C from the Icon system compiler and a tutorial that I found as a text file somewhere on the file server. I have no idea who wrote it, but I'm guessing it was either something someone pulled from the nascent Internet or written internally by early Icon devs.
Either way, that document may well be why I now have a career.
