If you consider them animals - murderers, pedophiles, the like, then there's no point in torture before death as they were simply acting on their animal desires. Just put them down and cremate them. A couple dollars in ammunition is much less expensive to the tax payer than millions of dollars over the course of someone's lifetime of incarceration.
