Started a new project to build an open-source alternative to https://circle.so/ but mostly just an excuse to learn Phoenix Framework and Elixir lang. Bullish on this because of its performance, simplicity & capabilities (like Numeric Elixir: https://github.com/elixir-nx )
It's strange though that while there are ActivityPub servers written in Elixir (Pleroma / Akkoma), there's no Slack-equivalent🤔. All the open-source alternatives (Zulip, Mattermost, Rocketchat, Element) feel suboptimal.
