Human aging is so brutal. By the time you enter your 30s, you don't even look like the same species as you did when you were young. You look dilapidated, disheveled, your countenance acquires a permanent melancholy, your stride is replaced with a shamble.
Contrast this with the majority of animals, who retain their vigour and beauty into old age. My pet cat in old age doesn't look a day older than when he first reached maturity. And even when other species senesce, it isn't a fraction as horrifying as what happens to geriatric humans.
We are an inferior species.
