Base case is when you care about your dataās availability and privacy, which is a rather tall order it seems and 95% of users doesnāt give a shit because they can pay to make it someone elseās problem. I donāt think thereās any avoiding that, but if you offer a solution to a problem that you uniquely address, and you build it here, it could incentivize the behavior you desire - which could include running a relay at the edge. So, think of new system designs to solve unique problems if you want people to run a relay, because the existing systems/solutions produced the opposite effect.
