yeah, i have found that it sucks to have anything less than a 300Mb/s SATA SSD on the task... you can get away with bcache, at least, but i find that thing flaky so i just go with the 1tb drive at this point, and probably need to start thinking about upgrading that to 2tb in 3 years or so
