yes!
1. move quickly. have someone using a float to smooth the top and an edger to smooth the sides after you pour—don't wait til the end. it will start curing faster than you think, at which point things get messy.
2. rent a mixer. it's worth every penny.
3. add a little bit more water than the instructions and youtube say. makes it smoother. not too wet, just a bit.
