Cybersecurity is such a hot topic nowadays, because companies are desperate for any skilled person to protect their profitable assets from rivals and disgruntled hackers. Sorry but if I in the infosec field, I ain't going to waste my time defending corporate executives' bottom line. It would feel meaningless.
