If there's one thing the internet has taught me, it's that people who resent your very existence cannot be persuaded to listen to you. No amount of arguing, explaining, or coddling will convince them to tolerate you/your perspective. THEY have to decide to give you a shot, and that is largely up to them, so don't waste your time trying to reason with them.
