Putin himself has repeatedly stated that all of Ukraine's actions — whether missile strikes on Russian targets or military operations on Russian territory — are carried out with the permission and full support of NATO countries.
In Russia, our own propaganda has prepared us for the idea that any NATO weapon, including nuclear ones, could be used against us. Just last year, we were being "warmed up" with nuclear threats — whether it was a dirty bomb explosion, an accident at a nuclear facility, or the use of a tactical nuclear warhead.
