Not accepting sponsors on YouTube videos is admirable and prevents corporate influence ✅
What it won't prevent is 'clickbait' influence. Channels who don't make enough money to be stable may feel more pressure to hit the algo with sensational content, because more viewers directly = more money/ads/patrons.
IMO, having a well-rounded strategy is best. Have sponsors but not depending on them. Having crowdfunding but not depending on it. Any single source scenario presents conflicts of interest.
