I think mutual follows within your group are good heuristics.
Who I follow on Twitter / Github is also a good heuristics.
"Has Twitter account" is not very telling, "has paid Twitter account" maybe a bit more telling.
But if you are looking for me specifically on Nostr and don't know which one of my 27 clones I am, it helps if you can verify the Twitter account.
GitHub is also interesting, because then you can sign software with Nostr identity (idea H/T
urza (nprofile…f4s8) )
Evaluating these metrics is always subjective. Software can help, but it's always from how you view the network. There should not be a global score. But tying identities cryptographically helps with discovery.
For example check out this:
https://keybase.io/jurajbednarIf you click on the right next to account, there's a proof tying together these identities. You can use the keybase app (including cli) to verify.
We need something like this for Nostr, preferably more open and less abandoned.
