Very complicated. Requires a lot more moving parts. In fact, this challenge is what has prevented me from making a chicken tractor for the 3+ years I've been researching and planning.
I've given up on this idea.
It's SO much simpler to only have linear movement on a single axis, and then manually reposition it on the one day a week you visit the coop to refill water, feed, check birds, etc.
