Spanish Foreign Minister affirmed that Spain will defend Repsol's interests 🇪🇸
The Minister of #Foreign #Affairs of #Spain, José Manuel #Albares, spoke about the recent #measures of the United States that affect the #commercial activity of the Spanish oil company #Repsol in Venezuelan territory. Albares stated that “We are in contact with the company, I myself have been in contact with its CEO. We are analyzing this decision, exchanging views on the matter. We should not rush at this time until we know in detail what it entails and how it may affect and the margin for dialogue that still exists, because that is the method we all want to use, dialogue to resolve any differences or clarify any doubts that the #US administration may have. As you know, a decision that does not exclusively affect Repsol, but a large number of #companies, including US companies, let there be no doubt about that. The Government of #Spain will always defend the #interests of Repsol and of any Spanish company that needs it in the world.”
