I found the words strange " ... tighten that noose. ..."
I tried to figure out, what do you mean and how do you think.
"All people like this..." Ok, that is strange as well. I would be interested in characteristics of peopl like this and are they a specific group? Do you have friends or relatives, which are like this and if yes would they tighten that noose?
I agree that politics very much focuses on climate change and that it is one of the reasons for subsidies and regulations all over the world. A disaster for everyone who does not benefit from that, a joke for the others and big profits for some.
I agree that it seems like tyranny and hateful and I guess that the reason is part of that ideology is being conservative on environment, avoid any change, because the actual environment is livable for humans. Which basically is rooting from a fear of getting extinct as human race and the humanities survival instinct.
Fear and survival as base layers could cause this cold and brutal force over everything what is in its way and deprioiritizes most other things which do not support or not base on fear or survival itself.
Fear is the one of the strongest emotions we have as humans and fear is the one, which enables people to act and do crazy stuff.
