Behold the best turkey I have made in my life.
11.44 lbs from Costco. My usual recipe, with these changes:
1) I added sage to the herb mixture on the turkey.
2) I rubbed softened butter on the turkey before the herbs, instead of pouring melted butter over it
3) I did not baste the turkey. Not even once. The science says it’s not necessary if you rub softened butter on it.
4) we used a Meater thermometer at the “turkey” setting, which is 165, instead of 180 the recipe says. MOIST PERFECTION.
