The problem with NAS is douchebaggery (not memes).
In V4V terms, NAS provides value as a hub to the NA community. But the non-moderation policy provides more value to douchebags than to non-douchebags because it puts a burden on non-douchebags to frequently mute/block as necessary.
Douchebags don't have this burden. They face little to no repercussions for their douchebag behavior. Thus non-douchebags are alienated.
NAS needs moderation if it's to be of value to non-douchebags.
