I don't think Pkarr at least is desperate for anything, multiple independent teams already picked it up for their own needs, I think Mainline already proved itself before Nostr ever existed and actually survived concentrated attacks that Nostr didn't face yet.
The rest of Pubky is literally web servers, do you think web servers need proving too?
I think if you trust Mainline track record, and HTTP track record, then you can conclude that Pubky can do a better job than the Outbox model.
But again, none of us are sales people, we gain or lose nothing if we convince each other of anything. It is OK if people make different bets as long as they understand each other and the bets they are making.
