I'm half-sick so not at my best, and still, got a random widely used open source library to be meaningfully faster than before without trying very hard.
I strongly believe that many open source libraries could run 2×-10× faster if someone just spent the time optimizing them.
And if you want to pay my consulting rates, that someone could be me!
