After trying and spectacularly failing to learn how to play violin at the age of thirty, I’m now in the process of learning a third language (Spanish) at around fifty. (I’m a hopeless optimist.)
I’ve noticed that I’m a phonetic learner. My progress improved significantly after I forced myself to pronounce *all* exercises. Even the ones that don’t require it.
I’ll also try the “Bible Method”. I read “Love in the Time of Cholera” in two languages, albeit a while ago. Time to try going native.
