I've seen the same trend play out time and time again in other groups. Look at the godot scandal from the past few months. Does anyone even use those forks? Or look at WordPress and Matt's meltdowns. Nobody is fucking forking it (aside from the ClassicPress fork that existed solely over the editor before Matt's drama), or trying to make a new fork away from Matt's company. They're just calling for him to step down, which is as likely as Oracle letting their FOSS projects continue.
