Fairphone 5 and most other non-Pixel devices are missing important security patches and features regardless of your OS choice. Fairphone is significantly worse in this regard than a typical flagship phone. Their support lifetime guarantees don't mean much because they don't ship updates properly from day one and then start having much longer delays, to the point updates are delayed by years. Their delays are portrayed as providing years of extra support vs. devices shipping it on time.
