Perhaps he was never as smart as he seemed.
These days anyone in the media who speaks the obvious truth for a few seconds, seems like a genius.
In hindsight, I used to like Tucker on Fox, because what he said made sense. But it was actually just pretty obvious stuff. The point was that it is so rare for someone in media to say anything that is remotely close to reality.
