Sometimes I tell people I'm in favor of peacefully abolishing #capitalism, and they react with shock. That's such an extreme position, they say.
That strikes me as bizarre. It's very obvious by now that capitalism is a death cult. Climate change is irrefutable evidence. Or patents for vaccines against deadly pandemics.
To hold on to the belief that this system can somehow be salvaged or regulated to behave reasonably against all evidence to the contrary -- that's the extreme position.
