I don't see how we are going to achieve the kind of radical reset Richard and others are talking about without a revolution of some sort. And the neoliberal elite definitely aren't going to relinquish their grip on the steering wheel without a fight, so this will involve violence of some kind or another. Elites will, without pausing, deploy the full force of the state against any young people with the courage to attempt resistance to our current insane, ecocidal, fascist trajectory. We've already seen how they reacted to Just Stop Oil activists and the really very polite, restrained college campus protests regarding Gaza in the States.
Climate collapse is now *accelerating* according to the likes of Hansen, and we have painted ourselves into a corner such that we no longer have the option of incremental change
