Asymptomatic people with covid are contagious.
People who have covid but have tested negative (VERY COMMON!) are contagious.
People with covid who think they have a cold or allergies are contagious.
If you or someone you know caught a cold or flu, even if it *really was* the cold or flu, it could just as easily been covid (even easier to catch in fact).
Catching anything besides covid should be a deafening alarm of a wakeup call to you! It means you just dodged a deadly bullet. Are you then going to continue going about your life in the same way with the same critical hole in your defenses that allowed the cold or flu virus in?
Rapid tests are most effective on the fifth day of infection. Before that the chance of false negative result increases substantially the earlier you test.
