FYI, when I talk about a social media service, it's not an endorsement.
For the same reason that talking about Twitter isn't an endorsement of Twitter, talking about a Fediverse project isn't an endorsement of that project.
I may sign up to those services. This is not because I like them, but because I want to understand how they work.
From my standpoint, it's important that you know that something exists rather than you be ignorant of it.
