npub10hz69ced55t8keayx8dwaf4pm7cc2ss9g3w9ghwj5d34hvl7g9hs9vd2qh (npub10hz…d2qh) A pregnant cat (Primrose) and her (presumed) six-month-old kitten (Sumie) showed up crying on my doorstep. I took them in and two weeks later Primrose released five more kittens (Vincent, Simon, Lydia, Mina, and Petunia). So they've all grown up together.
There are occasional squabbles, mostly when Simon wants to wrestle and chooses Lydia or Mina as his targets. Mina will also grumble sometimes when either of her brothers gets too close to her.
Many years ago I had nine cats from a few different sources and there was in fact frequent squabbling (mostly due to one particular boy terrorizing the others). This is a much calmer experience.
(Ha, just as I was writing this Vincent ended up cornering Mina and she yelled at him a bit, so not perfect calm.)
