there is a point where corporations become too bloated with bureaucracy to recognize & capitalize on the future of market-defining technologies
apple will milk every last dollar out of the surveilled slaves it’s lured into the walled garden with shiny new features & a bleeding egde feel.
disruptive permissionless technologies like #Bitcoin & #Nostr cannot be captured, are difficult to understand, and are antithetical to large corporations & state engineering incentives. It was never in the cards for these companies to embrace FOSS openly.
There lies a friction that will ultimately propel us to the next level competitively, and make apparent to the world the disadvantages & critical tradeoffs of the legacy systems. We need to nail our user experience and widen our funnel, and empower humans with the freedom to create the software they want to use.
It can be lonely at the top, and we are trekking new ground. This may only be a small dose of adversary Nostr builders will face.
Stay optimistic, cheerful & constructive. #Nostr is growing at exactly the right pace.
