I can’t believe I’m agreeing with David Brooks, but yeah, #uspol needs an organized resistance, general strikes, civil disobedience, etc. He correctly diagnoses the problem that the MAGA outrages are not separate strands, but the same concerted effort to amass power for its own sake

Of course he had to keep it middle-brow (name check to Jared Diamond!)

And he reminds us he’s a douche by blaming progressivism at uni for getting us into this state 🙄

But overall better than I expected from him
