While cleaning up today, I found a box that contained various crocheted and pottery figurines that my ex made for me back then. It hurts because I can see in the effort and details that she really liked me - but unfortunately that couldn't make up for the amount of toxic behavior she directed towards me. It really hurts - but would be worse if the relationship still existed.
