Raspberry Pi hats for M.2 storage are great and all, but if you do have an old Chromebox in the bottom drawer, it might be the equivalent or better for free.
Interestingly they might be priced fairly. By that I mean don't necessarily buy one, because they are already at a price where you should just go for a new mini PC instead.
Similarly for any Raspberry Pi role that really needs the big storage, perhaps the mini PC.
