Based on the difference in average lifespan I would say men and women age differently. The difference is not solely based on propensity to engage in dangerous behaviors (such as working more dangerous jobs). I suspect part of it is due to iron accumulation in men. Considering that many of the stressors in our toxic world today are oxidative in nature, I think this compounds the effect that stored iron can have. So up until about 50 women have an advantage in getting rid of excess iron and so have less oxidative damage which I suspect has a substantial effect on aging. Along with the blood loss also being an additional way of getting rid of toxins. Note the above are what I think, but it would be difficult to validate with studies.
