#WordWeavers 25 August: What soundscape do you prefer when writing?
It depends. Sometimes I have a great soundtrack to go with a story but more often than not I'm writing in silence nowadays. Music without lyrics can help get me in the right state of mind but lyrics are too often a distraction for me. This used to be different but I guess there are just too many distractions going on all the time, so one more is significant compared to pre-smartphone and pre-social media eras.
