To be fair, the cowboy aesthetic was highly respected before gays raped it when jews began letting them out of the closet in the 50s and 60s. There are still people alive today who knew a time when a man wearing a cowboy outfit with a red ribbon around his neck would look rugged and cool. I like to think he's reclaiming the aesthetic for White men.
