My knee was still bothering me the next day and more hill walking was on the official schedule, so I taped my knee with Leukotape and we decided to substitute part of the route for road walking. The roads were very quiet anyway, and this way I could nurse my sore knee a bit.
We ran into our Dutch friend as she came off the first hilly part and we walked together for a bit before parting ways again. We made it to the ferry from Barra to Eriskay with two hours to spare before the ferry would leave.
At the ferry terminal we met up with the couple with their child, who'd missed the earlier ferry by a minute and then had to wait 4 hours for the next one! We exchanged stories and plans for the next few days. There are very few walkers on the Hebridean Way so it's nice to connect with the few walkers we do meet.
