Many bitcoiners don't think Maya has a serious chance to run for President of her country, but what they haven't taken into account is that the Mayoral race in their hometown is likely in a larger district than Suriname! The whole country has around a half million people in it, and she said on walker (npub1cj8…rz4u)'s Bitcoin podcast last week that she believes she has a really good chance now given proper fundraising!
So we can do this, seriously. Make a 2nd Bitcoin country, kill its' central bank, & replace every currency there with Bitcoin by May next year... What a win!
