On Wednesday at about 11:35am, after a quick presentation, I was about to leave 370 Jay Street (the research-focused building of NYU Tandon). A security officer shouted at me to get back in the building. I didn't understand it right away and he got more aggressive (but he didn't explain), so I went back in and had to hide in a dusty corridor for a few minutes...
Turns out there was an armed robbery outside... In broad daylight... Guess that was my closest encounter...
