The small handful of Linux users were told "we don't really have a solution, just be sensible". Avoiding dodgy corporate spyware AV/endpoint security nonsense on your work computer is a compelling reason to consider Linux at work.
Once the clipboard clowns move in, retreat to increasingly niche operating systems: *BSD, Haiku, TempleOS, CP/M, Windows for Workgroups, whatever.
