Makes sense, keeping our 3 going is getting costly. Some aren't meant for the outdoors imo, we have a retard that would've died out there and a pampered house panther who is better off away from the local superstitious assholes. The porch cat is cruel to keep inside though, he'd probably be ok as an indoor outdoor on his own terms but he wailed like a banshee for months when we had to keep him in because of stitches.
Considered fostering? Shelters will generally cover the expenses, but you have to be ok with letting them go when the time comes. Still helping them get out of the shelter, while easing the burden for staff, and having some fuzzy bastards around as a bonus.
