Waste of bandwidth and energy to consume especially if the end user is not really watching it.
Seriously tho 'enshittification' isn't a bad phrase for it. i remember seeing tripe on the platform and feeling like they were cheapening movies and making the art of film worse/shitter. it's really not a bad way to describe it. I think anything that encourages making content to stoke peoples biases and serve them targetted ads, and product placements, which i'm told #netflix does, can rightfully use that word....
but yeah essentially its #waste.
