Using a special event kind for videos and images makes Nostr less interoperable. Kind 1s feel bloated because most clients aren’t giving the users the ability to filter through relays and the various types of kind 1s such as text, images, videos, audio etc.

Not trying to throw shade but Olas and flare are boxing themselves out of most Nostr clients by using their own kind of event which is completely fine but then users who don’t use a client that supports the olas or flare kinds don’t see those events. Authors become confused why their olas notes aren’t showing up on damus or whatever. This leads to double posts and creates lots of redundancy.
