Just now [pushed a new version of Share on Mastodon](https://jan.boddez.net/articles/share-on-mastodon-v0-19-1), and, guess what. I thought I understood the auto-sharing issue, but now I’m not so sure anymore.
I no longer provide a `default` argument when calling `register_meta()` and instead implemented a `default_post_metadata` callback. But the *value provided by said callback should be no different from the original* `default`, and yet!
