So like, the US interest in Ukraine hasn't been minerals. It should be fairly obvious that the Musk-Trump administration made a half-hearted grab for minerals because Musk would benefit. The US interest in Ukraine has been food security for Europe, this focus on mineral wealth isn't actually some long-standing US imperialist plot, it's not even something Trump I was very interested in.
