In the business world, if you have a customer that is a big flaming liberal, and you want to continue working for them because they have deep pockets, at some point they're going to give you the shit test. A liberal's shit test is inviting you to contribute to their fundraiser, asking you to be a sponsor. If you decline, whether you have a good reason or not, they see that as not only an insult, but also a justification for shunning you for not wanting to contribute to their preferred charity.
Lesson learned: Don't work for flaming liberals, especially bible-banging ones, because they are biggoted zealots and they will turn on you like a drag queen on a dancing pole.
