There is a historical link between #YomKippur and Islamic tradition.

Early in Islamic history, before Ramadan was established as the primary month of fasting, the Prophet Muhammad observed the fast on the Jewish Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), known in Arabic as “Ashura.”

I choose to fast this Yom Kippur, for the first time, as an expression of solidarity with my Jewish brothers/sisters & in hopes for peace in our world 🤲🏼
