this is why a lot of these people (like myself) just say fuck it, and go build stuff and become entrepreneurs. that or just become corporate terrorists (i know many) that just keep a low profile at their jobs while doing side hustles
sad that's what it's become over time. this is mostly because many megacorps swallowed up companies over time and departmentalized everything and make jobs very bland and boring. e.g. Widget Inspector only inspects Widgets, or Widget salesman only sells Widgets.
It's probably fine for the normies, but for top talent/thinkers, horrible as they cannot be defined to a simple box of duties because there is no escape
