Back when I regularly watched anime half the fun was going to /a/ and speculating / shitposting for a week while waiting for the latest episode. It was especially fun for series that were anime originals and didn't have a manga or LN to give away where the plot was going to go; the reactions to some plot twists, shit endings, etc. were always a great time.
